What Should You Expect at Inside Voice?

You can expect a warm welcome from our wonderful team: Tom Foti, Emily Pinto, Mel Donohue, and Casey Sullivan. Tom, Emily, and Casey are endorsed S2C practitioners, and Mel is a practitioner-in-training. There is never any judgement because they know each speller has to work through something different to be at their best self.

What does a session look like?

• Individual sessions are 55-minutes long. Each session is followed up with a typed transcript that will be sent to your email via Google Docs. Each session is video taped, but videos will not be shared unless explicit permission is provided. 

• Practitioners read and react to their spellers in real time to gauge when they should “push” on new skills or when to “pull” back so a speller doesn’t feel overwhelmed. 

• Sessions also include age-appropriate content to teach to your child. Since Inside Voice is focused on the adult population (16 and over), content is geared toward the interests of adults. During any given session, the subject could be about the history of the high five, how the Titanic was first discovered, or a group of unsung heroes from World War II called the Night Witches.
